Help Fill the Hunger Gap
-
Countries such as Kenya and Uganda host millions of refugees, placing immense pressure on food systems and community resources.
-
Ongoing conflict, climate shocks, and rising food prices have increased hunger among elderly people, refugees, and vulnerable families.
-
Cuts to international aid have reduced food assistance, leaving many older people without reliable access to nutritious meals.
-
Elderly refugees are particularly at risk due to limited mobility, health challenges, and lack of income.
-
UNCC works with communities to provide food relief, dignity-focused elderly support, and essential services.
-
You can help fill the hunger gap by supporting programs that ensure no elderly person is left hungry or forgotten.

We welcome individuals, organizations, and communities to join us in our mission to support and empower stateless and displaced children and seniors. Your involvement can make a significant difference in their lives.
Our history
UNCC Australia was established with a clear and compassionate mission: to support the most vulnerable members of our community and ensure dignity, safety, and equal opportunity for all. Founded as a volunteer-driven, registered charity, UNCC is committed to uplifting elderly people, refugees, children, individuals facing mental health challenges, and anyone experiencing hardship or social isolation.
From the beginning, UNCC has worked to embed the principles of equity, protection, and community empowerment across every program and partnership. Our purpose is guided by values of compassion, respect, and accountability—ensuring that those who are most in need are not left behind.
Our Core Principles
-
Providing compassionate support and essential services to elderly and vulnerable individuals
-
Encouraging full inclusion and participation in community life
-
Making support services accessible, safe, and culturally respectful
-
Advocating for the wellbeing and protection of people experiencing disadvantage
-
Strengthening families, reducing isolation, and promoting mental and emotional wellbeing
Our Advocacy and Impact
From the outset, UNCC engaged in active advocacy with local communities, service providers, and government partners to champion fair access, stronger protections, and improved standards for vulnerable people across Australia. Through persistent collaboration and community engagement, we have helped shape meaningful improvements in support services for seniors, refugee families, children, and people navigating mental-health challenges.
One of our most significant achievements has been contributing to the wider recognition of the need for equitable care frameworks—ensuring that support systems are safe, inclusive, and accessible to people of all backgrounds. UNCC has championed community-driven solutions that uphold the dignity and rights of those often overlooked.
In addition, we have played a role in strengthening advocacy pathways for vulnerable groups, helping ensure their voices are represented in decision-making, program development, and community planning.
Growing a Stronger, More Connected Community
Since our founding, UNCC has grown into a diverse network of passionate volunteers and community partners. People from all walks of life—carers, advocates, health professionals, community leaders, and everyday citizens—have joined us with a shared commitment to making a difference.
This collaboration has created a powerful and expanding movement dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals, promoting inclusion, and improving wellbeing. Together, we continue to build a future where every person—regardless of age, background, or circumstance—is valued, supported, and able to thrive.
UNCC remains committed to inspiring compassion, informing communities, influencing positive change, and impacting lives for the better.
Who We Are
UNCC is a registered, volunteer-run charity dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable members of our community. We exist to protect, uplift, and advocate for elderly people, refugees, children, and individuals facing hardship, isolation, or mental-health challenges.
Driven by compassion and guided by community values, we work to ensure that no one is left behind.
Our Purpose
We believe that every person deserves dignity, safety, and the opportunity to live well. Many members of our community—especially seniors, displaced families, and children in crisis—experience neglect, loneliness, trauma, or a lack of essential support.
UNCC was created to bridge that gap.
Through hands-on assistance, advocacy, and community collaboration, we aim to transform lives one person at a time.
What We Do
As a volunteer-powered organisation, we focus our efforts on practical, direct impact:

We provide companionship, wellbeing checks, advocacy, and essential assistance to seniors experiencing neglect, social isolation, or financial difficulty.
• Assisting Refugees and Displaced People
We help vulnerable individuals and families access basic needs, support networks, and pathways to stability and wellbeing.
• Caring for Children and Young People
Our programs focus on safety, inclusion, emotional support, and opportunities for children facing hardship or disadvantage.
• Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing
We connect people with emotional support, crisis referrals, and community resources to help them rebuild confidence and resilience.
Our People
UNCC is proudly volunteer run, built on the generosity, professionalism, and passion of people committed to making a difference.
Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds but share a common mission: to bring hope, compassion, and practical help to those who need it most.

We act with integrity, compassion, and respect—always placing the wellbeing of vulnerable individuals at the centre of everything we do.
To restore dignity and opportunity for stateless and displaced children and seniors by delivering life-saving aid, sustainable livelihoods, inclusive education, and accessible health care empowering them to not only survive, but thrive.
Our work is centered around four strategic pillars:
