Our Strategic Plan 2024 -2030
NCC Strategic Plan: Journey to 2030
serving Seniors and Veterans with Dignity, Care, and Purpose
Our Journey So Far
For over 11 years, United Nationals Country-less Children (UNCC) has stood beside seniors, veterans, and displaced families, delivering life-changing support across six core areas:
Health, Education, Livelihoods, Emergency Relief, Senior Support, and Child Protection.
Rooted in benevolence, compassion, and community-led care, UNCC has worked tirelessly to improve the mental health, physical wellbeing, social connection, and dignity of those who have sacrificed or been forgotten.
Whether a veteran of a recognised army, a survivor of a civil conflict, or a senior who served under unjust or unrecognised regimes—all are treated equally at UNCC. We do not discriminate based on nationality, political background, or system of service. We serve those who served—and those who survived.
Looking Ahead: The Journey to 2030
In 2024, UNCC launched its ‘Journey to 2030’ Strategic Plan, a bold and values-driven vision for how we will elevate our impact for the years to come. This plan was developed through deep reflection, client consultations, and review of global trends including:
-
Political and security shifts
-
Displacement and refugee dynamics
-
Health access in underserved communities
-
Insights from Royal Commissions into Veterans’ Affairs
-
Suicide and mental health risks in Defence and post-service life
Our Core Values
-
Integrity – We act with transparency, accountability, and trust.
-
Compassion – We walk with those in pain, with empathy and dignity.
-
Innovation – We solve challenges creatively and sustainably.
-
Collaboration – We work together, not in silos—with partners, staff, and communities.
Our Strategic Pillars to 2030

Trauma-informed mental health support
-
Mobility and assistive technologies
-
Elder-led family support models
-
Culturally safe services for refugee and indigenous seniors
2️⃣ Growth and Sustainability
We will expand our services responsibly, targeting underserved regions and populations with the greatest need—especially in refugee settlements and low-resource host communities.
We are committed to:
-
Responsible funding and transparent reporting
-
Community-based volunteers and peer networks
-
Scalable programs that empower, not create dependency
3️⃣ Collaboration and Connection
We will invest in our people, partners, and systems to deliver long-lasting change—together.
This includes:
-
Strengthening regional coordination across East Africa, Australia, and beyond
-
Partnering with refugee-led, veteran-led, and disability organisations
-
Enhancing staff skills and frontline care capacity
-
Listening to lived experience as central to our planning
An Inclusive Vision for All Who Served
UNCC recognises that many seniors and veterans have been marginalised—especially those who served under unrecognised or corrupted regimes, or who were displaced by war, occupation, or political instability.
At UNCC:
-
No veteran is turned away based on how, where, or under what system they served.
-
We recognise service, survival, and sacrifice in all its forms.
-
We stand by junior seniors with chronic health conditions, seniors in refugee camps, and aged caregivers raising war-affected children.
-
🔊 Our Call to Action
As we move toward 2030, our vision remains clear:
A world where every senior and veteran—regardless of their past—can age with dignity, access care, and be recognised for their life and service.
