Modern slavery occurs when a person cannot leave or refuse a situation because of threats, violence, coercion, deception, abuse of power, or exploitation. It can affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities, particularly those experiencing poverty, displacement, conflict, discrimination, or social exclusion.

What To Do If You Suspect Modern Slavery
If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services immediately.
If you believe a person may be experiencing exploitation or modern slavery:

Respect privacy and confidentiality.

Seek the person's consent before sharing information where safe and appropriate.
